Where to start..... well it all started way back.... ah fuck it! Here's the short version. Probably about 4 years back my friend Danial Verstat and I started what we would end up calling "Horror Movie Night". You can probably divulge it's meaning by our clever naming convention... you see we'd gather...at nighttime.... and watch horror movies..... that's it.... pretty darn clever eh? Yeah, we'd watch 2/3 horror movies... usually a couple b-films, and at least one good/quality horror flick, and we'd get shit-faced doing it!

Why did we start doing this? Cuz our wives didn't like Horror films... We had to actually set side time for watching "scary cinema"! It turned out to be a wonderful thing! Dan and I (along with a rotating group of others) would get together monthly for this event. But as the years passed, and I moved to Elgin, and he moved off to Joliet... they grew less and less frequent. Then one day we just stopped doing it. Though I'm still friends with Daniel we havn't "horror movie nighted" together in several years now....but he's welcome back anytime!

So time goes on and I end up starting a band (Burnside Bridge) with this guy (we'll refer to him as "Shaun"). So Shaun and I start up this band, and we meet and become friends with this other band called Shooting Blanks. Turns out the lead singer (Hoffslut) for this band is a Horror movie freak just like Shaun and I (did I mention Shaun liked horror movies? It turns out it's one of the only things we don't fight about!). I had told both of these guys about how I used to do Horror Movie Night, and it was decided to ressurrect it! And so we did. And everything was good again.

We don't get together every month, but some is better than none. And hopefully with the birth of this site we'll be somewhat inspired to hold Horror Movie Night on a more regular basis!

I guess that's it.... and yes, that was indeed the shortened version of the events leading me to the creation of this site). Before I leave you I'd like to introduce you to the "regulars" both old and new... the ones you'll read about if you come back and check for updates....as I plan on chronicalling future horror movie nights so that in 1000 years people will look upon this fragmented data and see that yes...once upon a time it was indeed good!
