Bleed(2002 / R)
When Shaun told me that he'd rented this flick for Horror Movie Night I immediately could picture the box for it. This is one of those direct to DVD flicks that I've picked up and debated renting probably every time I walk into a video store. Having now seen this dog of a film I'm glad I never picked it up... though it's not such a consolation given the fact that I still had to watch it.
This movie was pretty boring and terrible. It wasn't even the kinda terrible that you can enjoy making fun of.... not to say we didn't make fun of it... but it just wasn't that fun... and I bet if I hadn't been drinking at the time I woulda been in much pain.
The acting is bad, the plot is weak, what minimal gore/blood effects that were in the film are lame. I'm gonna rip through this plot real quick and real brief, cuz it doesn't deserve more than that:
This dumb brood hooks up with this dude she's working for (dumb brood)... and he takes her to a party w/ a bunch of his friends... and everybody gets naked.... and then this dude and his friends tell the chick about the "murder club" and about how they've all murdered somebody.... she believes them (dumb brood)... and a day or two later kills some other brood in a dispute over... hell, I forget what it was about (and trust me it doesn't matter)... So anyways this gal now thinks she's in the murder club and tells her boyfriend, who tells the rest of the group... who now have to figure out what to do cuz THERE WAS NO MURDER CLUB! (dumb brood). All the while this is happening there's some psycho in a white mask killing off random people... and now this group of friends starts getting picked off.... who could the psycho be? And why is he killing people? WHO CARES! I sure didn't and when I finally found out I was just glad the movie was over!
Don't ever see this movie... the only reason it's getting any sort of rating is cuz for a brief 5 minutes I was entertained by the nudity in the film. And I guess that's worth 1 Bruce Campbell head in my book. God I have low standards!
