"In the brutal trench fighting of the First World War, a British Infantry Company is separated from thier regiment after a fierce battle. Attempting to return to thier lines, the British soldiers discover what appears to be a bombed out German trench, abandoned except for a few dazed German soldiers. After killing most of the Germans, and taking one prisoner, the British company fortifies to hold the trench until reenforcements can arrive. Soon, however, strange things being to happen as a sense of evil descends on the trench and the British begin turn on each other." (imdb.com)

A pretty darned good War/Horror flick which takes place during WWI. I always thought the trenches of WWI would make a good horror movie given how horrific they and that war were without an element of the supernatural! This was straight to DVD (at least here in the U.S.) and I'm betting it had a low budget, however this does not detract from the movie one bit. I found it to be a highly entertaining movie that is very big on atmosphere. It's creepy, and dank, and dreary, and you truly appreciate the misery of these soldiers.

This is a very serious horror movie and doesn't at all fall into the realm of a slasher flick. The effects are nice, the acting is capable, and the plot is easily followed. There is a twist ending to the film that is both mildly heartwarming as well as being rather sinister. Highly recommended, especially to those who also enjoy war movies.
